Christison Particle Technologies
Christison was first established more than 50 years ago as suppliers of general laboratory equipment. We now specialise in particle characterisation, particle diminution and sample preparation. We supply most industries including pharmaceutical, food, chemical, mineral and mining. We export to all corners of the globe.
We are located in the North of England a short distance from the Gateshead Millenium Bridge which crosses the River Tyne connecting the Gateshead Quays arts quarter with Newcastle-Upon-Tyne quayside. It is the world's first and only tilting bridge.
The bridge tilts open to let larger craft sail underneath. It weighs 850 tons, is powered by eight electric motors producing 589 horse power, and uses just £3.60 worth of electricity for each opening.
